ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
The admission requirements for the various programs of study into the Bayelsa State College of Health Technology, Otuogidi are stated below.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY (EHT ND)
The programme leads to the above award of national Diploma (ND) in environmental health technology of the West African Health Examination Board (WAHEB)
QUALIFICATION:
Prospective candidate must possess a minimum of five (5) O/L Credit Passes in WASC, SSCE, NECO and GCE at not more than one sitting. The subject must include:
a. English Language
b. Biology/Health Science
c. Chemistry and two others from the followings:
Geography, Economics, Food and Nutrition, Accounting, Commerce,
Physics And Technical Drawing and a pass in mathematics is compulsory
DURATION: THREE (3) ACADEMIC SESSIONS
Candidates who have acquire the WAHEB National Diploma in EVT from recognized institution are eligible to apply for direct entry into the ND II programme.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY (EHT HND 1)
QUALIFICATION:
Prospective candidates must possess:
1. National diploma in environmental health technology.
2. Note that candidate with awaiting result can apply but admission will not be offered
Only on clear standing.
Duration: two (2) ACADEMIC SESSIONS
COMMUNITY HEALTH EXTENSION WORKERS (CHEW ND)
The programme leads to award of the diploma in community Health Extension by the community health registration Board of Nigeria.
QUALIFICATION
PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATE MUST POSSES A MINIMUM OF FIVE (5) CREDIT PASSES In WAEC, SSCE, NECO and GCE O/L in not more Than two sittings.
1. A licensed JCHEW certificate holders with basic academic qualification credit pass in”

c. Biology/Health Science
2. A candidate must possess five (5) credit passes in
a. English Language
b. Mathematics
c. Biology/health Science
DURATION: THREE(3) ACADEMIC SESSIONS
JUNIOR COMMUNITY HEALTH EXTENSION WORKERS (JCHEW CERT)
The programme leads to award of certificate in junior community health extension Workers by the community health registration board of Nigeria
QUALIFICATION
Prospective candidate must have posses a minimum of five (5) O/L PASSES in WAEC, SSCE, NECO, and GCE in not more than two sittings which must include.
a. English Language
b. Mathematics
c. Biology/Health science and any two (2)subjects
DURATION: TWO(2) ACADEMIC SESSIONS
MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (MLT CERT)
The certificate leads to award of medical laboratory technicians diploma by the Medical laboratory council of Nigeria.
QUALIFICATION
Prospective candidate must possess a minimum of four (4) credit passes in WASC, SSCE, NECO, GCE in not more than two settings which must include:
a. Biology
b. Chemistry
c. English language
d. Mathematics and any other subject.
NB: Result should not be more than five (5) years at the point of admission.

PHARMACY TECHNICIANS STUDIES (CERT)
The programme leads to the award of national certificate for pharmacy technician (NC) In pharmacist council of Nigeria.
QUALIFICATION
Prospective candidate must possess a minimum of five (5) Credit passes in WAEC, SSCE, NECO, and GCE in not more Than two which must include:
a. Chemistry
b. Biology
c. Mathematics
d. English Language

MEDICAL SOCIAL WORKER (MSW ND)
