Dr. Christian Atiegha hails from Nembe in Nembe LGA of Bayelsa state. He joined the Medical Laboratory profession as a Laboratory Assistant–in-training in the now College of Health and Management Technology, Rivers state. His desire to grow in the profession made him go through various universities such as the Rivers state university, Nnamdi Azikiwe University and Imo state university bagging BMLS, MSc and Ph D. certificates respectively. He single handedly established and developed the Medical laboratory unit in the Nembe comprehensive Health Center; a feat that compelled the reception of referral samples from the laboratory of the General Hospital Nembe. He was transferd to the college of Health Technology Otuogidi since the year 2008 and had captained various departmental and School offices including the Director, School of Allied Medical Sciences and two times Academic union staff leader among others. He is currently a Chief lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences. |
