MR. HUMPHREY AYODELE PELEVEJU

Humphrey Ayodele Peleyeju began his academic journey at Air Force Nursery and Primary School in Enugu before continuing at Air Force Nursery and Primary School in Ilorin. He advanced to Mafoluku Grammar School, Mafoluku Oshodi, Lagos, where he completed his secondary education, cultivating his interest in science and analytical thinking. He later graduated with a BSc in Engineering Physics from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, solidifying his foundation in the physical sciences.

Embarking on a teaching career, Humphrey made a significant impact at Bishop Dimieari Grammar School, Ovom; Fidelity Group of Schools, Ovom; and Apex Educational Centre, Osiri—all within Yenagoa. During this period, he taught subjects such as Physics, Mathematics, Basic Science, and even lectured on Material Science, sharing his expertise and inspiring countless students.

Humphrey is a Physics Lecturer II at Bayelsa State College of Health Technology’s Department of General Studies. He employs IT skills, such as virtual labs and simulations, to enhance learning. He enhances learning by using PhET Interactive Simulations, enabling students to explore scientific concepts interactively. He creates tailored assignments and lesson plans based on these simulations, enriching education and fostering curiosity in the sciences. His work demonstrates his commitment to academic excellence and professional development.

With over 15 years of experience as a data analyst, Humphrey has honed his skills in handling complex datasets and has played a pivotal role in improving organizational systems. While working in the bursary department, he assisted in payroll management and spearheaded the transition from an analogue to a digital payroll system, a move that significantly enhanced efficiency and accuracy.

Humphrey served as a member of the Promotion Calculation and Implementation Committee (till 2024), contributing his analytical expertise and organizational acumen to advancing institutional goals.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Humphrey is an active member of several esteemed professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Physics and the Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences. He is also certified in Agile Scrum by the International Association of Project Managers (IAPM), showcasing his commitment to staying at the forefront of industry practices and methodologies.

His dedication to education, data analysis, and professional development underscores a career marked by innovation and excellence.
