Mr. Ebifaghe Kaizah Leghemo, is a seasoned Nigerian academic and administrator with expertise in Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Environmental Biology. He currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Foundation Studies, Department of General Studies, where he also holds the position of Director and chairs the School’s Board. His academic journey began at U.P.E.model Primary School in Ogbia Town, where he obtained the First School Leaving Certificate in 1982. He later earned the West African School Certificate from Enitonna High School and Government Secondary School, Port Harcourt. He went on to complete a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology in 1994 and obtained an M.Sc. in Environmental Biology from the Niger Delta University in 2021. Mr. Leghemo is a dedicated member of several professional bodies, including the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the Neuroscience Society of Nigeria, and the Computer Science Teachers Association of Nigeria. Throughout his academic career, he has held numerous administrative roles that reflect his leadership capabilities and institutional commitment. These include Acting Head of Department Science Foundation, Head of the Academic Planning Unit, Acting Dean and Deputy Dean of Students Affairs, and membership in the Academic Board across multiple tenures. He has also contributed to governance through participation in college-wide committees such as the Accreditation Committee, Examination Malpractice Committee, and various panels of inquiry and investigation. A passionate educator and institutional leader, Mr. Leghemo continues to impact the academic community through service, scholarship, and mentorship. |
