Mr. Azibagiri Samuel Omekwe is an academia, administrator, and social worker with expertise in Social Work and Public Administration. He serves as a Lecturer at the School of Foundation Studies, Department of General Studies. As a passionate educator and institutional leader, Mr. Omekwe continues to impact the academic community through service, mentorship, and guidance. Academic Background His academic journey began at U.P.E Primary School 1 in Ogbia Town, where he obtained the First School Leaving Certificate in 2001. He later earned the West African School Certificate from Government Secondary School Twon Brass in 2007. He went on to complete a B.Sc. in Public Administration from the University Port Harcourt in 2016. He went further to study Social Work at the Bayelsa State of Health Technology where he obtained an ND in 2018. He is currently in his M.Sc. thesis in Political Science (Public Administration as specialty) at the Niger Delta University, Amassoma. Administrative Career Mr. Omekwe has had a notable administrative career, serving in various roles such as Clerk Registrar’s Office, Internal Audit, Admission, Exams & Records, Establishment, ICT (Student Lifecycle Management), and Administrative Officer Provost Office. He has also served as President Department of Medical Social Work and Student Union President in the College. Awards and Recognition He has received Two Merit Awards under different administrations for his dedication and service, highlighting his commitment to his work and the College community at large. |
