Mr. Ozu Simeon is a Nigerian professional and academician, a Chief Instructor with expertise in Science Laboratory Technology and Environmental Biology. He currently serves as Chief Instructor at the School of Foundation Studies. Department of General Studies. He started his academic at the S.S. Emeyal where he bagged his First School Leaving Certificate [FSLC] in 1988 and later got his West African Senior School Certificate [WASSC] in 2001.He went on and completed his National Diploma [ND] in Science Laboratory Technology[SLT] from the Bayelsa State College of Arts and Science[BYCAS] Agudama Epie Yenagoa in 2005.Relentlessly,he went further to obtain his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Science Laboratory Technology [Biology/Microbiology] in 2008 from the Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Environmental / Biology from the Niger Delta University in 2023. Mr. Ozu Simeon is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology with Reg, No: NISLT/A.6928/10 and the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria(STAN). Throughout his academic career in BYSCHTEC, he has been lecturing, carrying out practical and undergoing administrative roles outside his teaching career. He came to the college as a corps member in 2009 and was retained as a result of his God’s giving hard work and readiness to mentor.
He has lectured the following courses: Basic Laboratory Technique (BLT), General Laboratory Techniques (GLT), Physics, History and Philosophy of Science (Probation) and presently General Biology. He has functioned twice as a Technologist in the laboratory during the school Accreditation. Mr. Ozu Simeon in addition to his Academic Profession has served as the Public Relation Officer [PRO] of the CHT co-operative, two tenures as the Treasurer of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) and presently the Vice Chairman in same union, BYCOTECH Chapter. He is a passionate educator who is always ready to serve. |
